Beginning in spring 2026, she expressed support for ISIS through online communications and pledges of allegiance. By mid-July, she discussed plans to attack the New York State Capitol in Albany to destroy as much of the building as possible and kill state senators while they met.
She surveilled the Capitol on at least five occasions between late July and early August, taking photographs and studying security. On August 5, she purchased materials including nails for use as shrapnel in an explosive device.
